Gardening update 1

Well my gardening is sure keeping my busy, this photo shows 15 new seeds been planted out so I will have a good rotation of plants to go out over the summer. Most I buy my seeds from Homebase or online. One thing I love about gardening is at the end of the day you can see the hard work pay off, like growing your own veg. There is nothing more better than to pick your veg in the morning than have it that same day, the freshness is just out of this world. Yum!

Here are two photo's taken of my Delphinium's nearly two weeks later, they are coming on leaps and bounds. In the next couple of weeks they will be put out in the borders once there root systems have developed more.

 And finally my veg, well all of the seeds are now pushing though, with in in the next couple of weeks I will need to thin them out and for the peas but supports around them! With in the last few days they have seam to come to life, its amazing to watch!

The Front garden is looking more and more lovely, with the addition of the foxgloves, dividing up of the Primroses, and a general tidy up. The clematis is growing back and well as the rose pictured below....

Week in Review (16th March-21st March 2014)

Well hello friends, another week has come and gone in flash! It seams like this year is just rushing along at a pace that is inhuman! Well this week has been very busy, not with anything in particular, just work, cleaning and gardening. The weather has been very wired, take these photo's the sun was shinning, yet raining creating and beautiful rainbow just outside my window.
I will be posting a gardening update, to show how well my gardening is loving the weather (with the rain and sun I am just waiting for weeds to appear!)  

There has been no sport on this week, with the RBS 6 Nations/ Parlmpics finishing last week and nothing on now until the Autumn its pretty quite. I have still been enjoying reading, watching my films, but mostly its been spent out in the garden, check out that blog post going live very soon. Well I am going to take my leave and will see you guys soon,

Week in Review (8th March-15th March 2014)

Well hello friends again, another week has just gone by without stopping! This week has be very long because my mam has been in hospital since Sunday morning until Thursday! So as you can appreciated I don't have a lot to report!
Anyway as you can see from the photo's me and mam (before she went into hospital) had enjoyed a lovely cup of milky coffee at Sainsbury's mine of course had vanilla in it! The photo below was taken on Friday when i was out and about cleaning. Its nice to see that spring is here with the sight of lambs been born (the place I was cleaning at is on a farm).
Any way this weekend is all about sport, the RBS 6 nations is finishing today (the last games are playing now) and then tomorrow is the closing ceremony of the Sochi 2014: Winter Paralympic. So that's my weekend all sorted! Sorry this is such a short post, hopefully next week I will have more to report! Take care Fiona

Week in review (1st March 2014-7th March 2014)

Well hello again friends, another week has gone already! Some days I wonder where the time goes, and others just seem to drag on for ever. Well this week has just flown by, work is starting to pick up-gardening is on top of the list by a long way, followed closely by cleaning. The weather has been a lot kinder, and the days are certainly getting longer and longer (more sun is good)!

As you can see from this picture Rothbruy is looking beautiful in sun, this was taken at Beggars Rigg Picnic Area!  It does make a change from all the wet and windy weather that's been happening. My garden is coming along nicely, the veg that I planted out last week haven't yet come through, but it says on the packet up to 14 days before and shoots will appear.
I have been enjoying burning my candles more, in particular Homebase's own make which is the scent vanilla, and it makes my room smell divine!
Books have been another favorite of mine, last week I was finishing off The Immortal Instrument series by Cassandra Clare. What a fantastic read those are! Now I am starting to read The Folio Book of Historical Mysteries by The Folio Society. So far, only 2 pages in it seams a good book. This weekend the RBS 6 Nations is back with Scotland playing at home against France, so that should be a good game on Saturday. Also for sports the Sochi 2014: Winter Paralympic starts today at 3:30 on BBC 2 can't wait for that one, it amazes me how people who are handicapped can do the things that the do! Stunning. So that's it for this week, I will be writing up a few reivews in the next week, so stay turned!
