Week in Review (22nd February- 28th February 2014)

Well hello friends again! Another week has gone and we are back around to the weekend! From last week nothing exciting has happened, ant been anywhere as work is starting to build up! The RBS 6 nations was on last week, and guess what Scotland won against Italy! Yes!
In other news, as some of you will know I am a member of Tesco's Orchard program and this week I am singed up for there Finest Pasta range so it will be good to try some new things! Yum.
With the weather up here changing its given me the chance to start and get in to my garden! Today I took a trip to Homebase http://www.homebase.co.uk/ to see what they had! Well I manage to get some compost, veg seeds, and some foxgloves! See the photo's below......

These are Delphinium High Society Mixed by Mr-fothergills,(well all plants/veg are by this brand) planted last year and nearly ready to go in to the front garden. Below are foxgloves.......

        These two pictures are of tubs sown today, with Pea Kelvedon Wonder, Cauliflower All The Year Round and finally Carrot Early Nantes 5 again bought by Mr-fothergills http://www.mr-fothergills.co.uk. I used Jack's Magic All Purpose Compost to help settle them in and with a bit of tender loving care! lol!    

 I love gardening it is so rewarding to see something that has been cared for by your hands grow in to something that in a few months time can arrive on your plate to be eaten! Yum!

  

 The photo below is of the front garden as you can see I haven't started that yet, the foxgloves need to be put, along the fence, with the Delphinium's put some where. As you can see this is a working progress! Those flowers need to be separated and the Clematis tidied up and placed with the help of string on to the fence! My work is never done. There is no rugby on this weekend, so it gives a lot more time to get digging, so see you next week, again follow me on Instagram, and twitter!

Week in Review! (15th-21st February 2014)

Well another week has come and gone, I just don't know where the time goes! Hows you guys been? This week has been very uneventful, in terms of going places, you know me I do like to travel! 

I have been reading a lot more this week, something that was mentioned on my last post. Spending time with my family is really important, when you work all week and is on call this can be difficult!
Cooking is another hobby that both me and my mam have taken up in the last few weeks, nothing beats homemade comfort food! Leaning to bake isn't easy, but we all have to start some where? I enjoy making cakes, pies etc. Mam as you can see below is trying her hand at making an old school recipe, which is a pasty bottom, banana's, jam, custard and cream on top! It was blood amazing! I on the other hand cooked Sunday dinner, which was beef brisket, seasonal roast vegetables, garden peas and Yorkshire puddings with thick homemade gravy! Yum! See the photo's below!    

 Well after that Sunday dinner on Monday I was taken out for a meal with a very good friend of mine. We went to a pud called The Green Tree Country Pub & Restaurant which is a traditional English Country Inn situated in the picturesque Tudhoe Village! http://www.thegreentree.co.uk/index.html
It was really nice and welcoming, so for starters I had the fully loaded potato skins with garlic sauce! My friend had the same! Next we both had the 10 oz Locally Reared Rib-eye Steak, which is served with mushrooms, peas and chips! But we had to have some beer battered onion rings to share! It all went down very well with a bottle of white wine! I would really recommend this country inn, because a) the staff are really friendly and helpful and b) the food is to die and the price reflects the quality of the food/service! Yum, my mouth is watering at the though of going back there, the only down side is that for tea I am only having shepherds pie! You can see what I mean!          

So what else has been happening, work mainly, holiday cottages are picking up and the gardening season is just around the corner!
The RBS is back on this weekend! Yes get in there! The matches are:
Wales v France (21st Feb @20:00)
Italy v Scotland (22nd Feb @ 13:30)
England v Ireland (22nd Feb @ 16:00)
So that's my next 24 hrs sorted!

Two week’s in review! (1st-14th February)

Well hello friends, long time no see! Its been near on two weeks since I last wrote a post, and boy have I been busy!  Well in the sense off getting to grips with filming/editing, Instagram, organizing my time, and basically leaning to be me!
Two weeks ago.. Well it was the start of the RSB 6 Nations http://www.rbs6nations.com/en/home.php, and I love Scotland, but wait you say, you live in England, yes well my heart always will be with Scotland! Anyway they lost!

Also thanks to Tesco I am on to their next program-Fresh and Flavourful finest* Potatoes Orchard Programme!
Well potatoes are one of my favourite food items out there, whether or not they are roasted with garlic and butter or placed in a salad with lovey cuts of cold meat, I am game! lol! So with my £1.50 coupon I got a bag of Tesco Finest Exquisa Potatoes for £1.65 only coasting me 15 p! Any way I had them for my roast dinner (lamb) and they were delicious. So head down to your local Tesco's now!

These books are amazing! A world that lives in ours, that you can only dream about. I also have the City of Bones DVD which to me is well worth watch (Jace who is played by Jamie Campbell Bower is really hot!)
The story to me is key, not knowing who you are exploring talents that are hidden, forbedden love, family and duty to do what is right. The next book in the Sires come out 27th May this year called City of Heavenly Fire! Its going to be great if you think back to the ending of the City of Lost Souls!






Reading is great to relax you after a hard days work also with music, but doing my journal and planning for the next day really puts my mind at rest. I did a video on my planners which can be seen here:

Organization

Well hello folks, I through I would do a video's about how I organize my life! Its sounds scary at first, because there is such a range of things you can buy, like Filofax, diary's monthly planners etc. I mean walking in to a WH Smiths or Staples the choices are endless. Me personally the simpler the better!
I have two diaries, on is work and the other is where I keep track of everything else that goes on in my life, lie travelling, hospital appointments etc.!

The best thing about these is that they last. I have had this one for about 4 years and it is still in very good condition! The pages I put in reflexes me, like the Hobbit cover (I made myself) free pintables from http://www.mrsbrimbles.co.uk/ and http://www.vertex42.com/calendars/ and http://www.abowlfulloflemons.net/2011/12/free-printables-2.html. I prefer a month on two pages, along with a note section and post-it-notes for my to-do-lists. Also you can see a year at a glance(I need that for planning next years festivals)!
